Black Cat

A San Francisco staple that lit up the supper-club scene more than 50 years ago, Black Cat reopened in 2016 with a fresh feel and concept. We stepped in to help its image evolve into something the modern jazz scene would marvel at with a sleek and sultry look, but made sure to honor the place’s roots. Eventually, we also built a custom WordPress site to showcase more of the brand’s personality.

Art-deco details and mid-century illustrations influence the new cat icon, while the overall design reveals a clean black-and-white palette to ensure the restaurant and jazz club’s culture is still the focus.
